I think about all of the ideas, art, and creations I have had over the years.

In the light of death, it seems silly now. (Ever since my grandma died last month my world view has flipped upside down)

I am going to die anyway, so I might as well create it. Why doubt its worthiness?

In reality…I think I doubted my personal worthiness.
Am I worthy to create this thing?
Am I worthy to have other people spend time reading my words?

The answer is yes. This is a big lesson for me.

I think about all of the ideas, art, and creations I have had over the years.

It’s a compliment when ppl don’t understand you.

I’ve always been one to “beat to her own drum,” as they say, and as I have gotten older, I have learned to embrace this aspect of me rather than be ashamed of it.

I wish I had seen more women when I was younger, and even now, show me how they lived their lives on the fringes of society. I want this space (my little corner of the internet) to feel like a landing ground for the strange and unusual. A place of possibilities. A place where we can be wild, grounded, connected, adventurous, and fully expressed together.

She’d tell me to keep creating

1-2 weeks she had left they said. The kicker is that death and the afterlife was our favorite topic to talk about. “What do you think is next?” We’d ask each other. We talked about life reviews, absorbing back into source, having a higher view point, and what it would feel like.

We talked about how life on earth is hard and has so many lessons. We’d say i hope it’s more loving on the other side.

Then we’d talk about ways we could be more loving to each other and our selves here and now. Maybe we are creating heaven on earth… and the we’d talk about what that would look like.

She loved watching my content and would always tell me she wanted more of it. There’s nothing like your grandma cheering you on and watching your videos.

Death comes for us all.

And honestly a lot of times i don’t know how to deal with it. I’ve had many patients die when I’m at work, i study death, seen how different cultures cope, celebrate, and move through it - and still, it never gets easier.

I do know one thing, writing about my feelings and emotions helps me, so that is what i am doing now with you.

It sounds so simple but it completely changed the way i live my life. When you have a question who do you turn to? And do you rely on their guidance to help you make a decision? I find that’s the easiest way to feel “lost” in life when these little decisions become out sourced to another which then leads into the big decisions which then leaves you feeling like your life isn’t yours.

Turns out i was looking for a way of life. And the way of life that resonates soooo much is “living an eccentric life” basically asking myself HOW WEIRD CAN I GET??? wish i knew this sooner but i guess that’s what you get when you quit your job, sell everything, buy a one way ticket, backpack Asia, and come back to that job…. You gain perspective. Oh and I’m in my 30s so somehow things just start to *click* at this age.

I honestly took that as an insult most of my life “she beats to her own drum” … now i know it’s bc i have a totally different operating system than most. I’m led by my curiosity, experimentation, quirks, and my personal truth… and to the outside a lot of my life doesn’t make sense to others… and that my friends i have realized is living an eccentric life, and i want more of it.
