Turns out i was looking for a way of life. And the way of life that resonates soooo much is “living an eccentric life” basically asking myself HOW WEIRD CAN I GET??? wish i knew this sooner but i guess that’s what you get when you quit your job, sell everything, buy a one way ticket, backpack Asia, and come back to that job…. You gain perspective. Oh and I’m in my 30s so somehow things just start to *click* at this age.

Turns out i was looking for a way of life. When i see other examples of other women’s “off the beaten path” life it gives me more permission to deep in into my weirdness. This is why i think it’s so important to share this part of ourselves.

I honestly took that as an insult most of my life “she beats to her own drum” … now i know it’s bc i have a totally different operating system than most. I’m led by my curiosity, experimentation, quirks, and my personal truth… and to the outside a lot of my life doesn’t make sense to others… and that my friends i have realized is living an eccentric life, and i want more of it.

I honestly took that as an insult most of my life “she beats to her own drum” … now i know it’s bc i have a totally different operating system than most. I’m led by my curiosity, experimentation, quirks, and my personal truth… and to the outside a lot of my life doesn’t make sense to others… and that my friends i have realized is living an eccentric life, and i want more of it.

1. Ive been haunted by this feeling that I have a purpose to fulfill. I’ve felt this since i was a teenager asking my mom one day in the car on the way to school “ok so why am i here?”
2. A lot of the pain i experienced in my 20s was the result of me abandoning myself- putting others wants ahead of mine, disregarding my time, saying it didn’t matter when it did
3. My purpose has nothing to do with my job or how i make money . Turns out it’s wayyy bigger than my 12hr shifts.
4. I’ve wanted to be a content creator for the last 10 years back when blogging was a thing. I often think “where would i be if i didn’t doubt myself”
5. I realize now my experience and journey alone is value worth sharing
6. I haven’t been in a serious relationship in 6 years. I’ve self explored, healed, traveled, had fun + found out what it’s like to be me but now I’m ready to share life with someone. Part of me is nervous of what that will feel like or how my life with change.
7. I’ve always felt like a misfit. My thirties is when i stopped making myself feel bad for being different.
8. Being strange and unusual is my superpower not something i need to hide anymore
9. Id rather watch a sci-fi movie than a romcom
10. I am leaning how to snowboard for the first time and just bought a skateboard
